Satellite providers change their signals everyone in a while. You will need a USB drive, and a forum site which provides firmware for receiver. site changes signals ---> you do not get any channels...

Emulating with a PC is a lot easier. You could even rig it up to download and reinstall updated emu software from an RSS feed.
